The August 26, 2023 meeting was held at the Watershed District office.
The July 29, 2023 minutes were approved as corrected deleting “a weed survey was done in July using sonar mapping”.
Treasurer report as of July 31, 2023 showed a checking balance of $4.428.39, Savings $1,029.51 and Money Market $69,055.14.
Weedfest showed a profit of $1,877.11
Watershed report included discussion of sonar mapping and the effectiveness of the weed survey. Motion was m/s/c to propose $90,000 as a budget request for the assessment for AIS treatment in the coming year.
There is a need to be more aggressive on weed treatment.. Jeff Gertgen, Brian Weist, and Mark Kragenbring will check on other providers for lake treatment and a probable proposal for a common buyers group for aquatic chemicals.
In regards to the Lake Association presidency, Anita Hagen will assume the office with Mark Kragenbring as vice president. Anita will continue as treasurer.
The next board meeting will be on Nov 18 at 9:00 am at the Wathershed District Office .
