Harlan gave an update on the sewer inspections, the meeting of the Diamond Lake residents on the 16th of August at the Atwater Community Center.  Jim Teschendorf reported that an additional $7,000 had been set aside for testing of the sewers.  Harlan and Jim were to meet with Gary Danialson to inquire if the counties grant application of applying for 500 2nd tier homes could be resubmitted to the state.  By doing so the lake would possibly be able to apply for low interest loans.

Jim reported that there have been easements on both sides of the fish trap since 1957. Letters to adjourning property owners will be sent out informing them of channel improvements.  The DNR, Little Crow Watershed and DLARA will sign these letters.

Discussion on Roy and Deb Michaelis rain garden and shoreline restoration was discussed.  The lake association is to pay for 10% of the bill minus the boulders used for decoration and 10% of the plants that are more than 25 feet from the shore.

The wastewater committee is in charge of the August 16th meeting to be held in Atwater.  Joyce Wittman the chairperson will conduct the meeting.  Board members have volunteered to help set up the chair and anything else that is needed for the meeting.

Harlan volunteered to try and put together a booklet this winter for lake residents about rules and regulation effecting life around the lake.

After a short discussion on DNR rules applying for aquatic plant permit fees it was decided to keep the $750 limit maximum in effect.

A motion was made by John Hanson and seconded by Dale Owen to pay  10% of Becky Ricklefs rain garden, up to a limit of $1,000.

The next board meeting is to be either Sept. 13th or 27th.
